Roberto A. Palomares, will provide an overview of the role of a Theriogenologist within the Food Animal Health & Management (FAHM) program in the College of Veterinary Medicine of UGA where the goal is to improve the health and reproductive performance of dairy and beef herds in the state of Georgia.  Working in coordination with farmers to increase the herds’ pregnancy rate, which derives in more pounds of milk and beef produced per farm per year, one of FAHM’s projects investigates infectious diseases that affect cattle reproduction worldwide.
LACSI Cross-Disciplinary Conversations
LACSI Cross-Disciplinary Conversations are 15-minute public lectures followed by 45 minutes of open discussion. These events are opportunities for UGA and the surrounding community to get to know the vital work being done by LACSI’s 140+ affiliates, which now represent every college and professional school on campus.
LACSI Cross-Disciplinary Conversations are located at 290 South Hull Street, Athens, GA.  For more information or questions, please contact lacsiuga@gmail.com.
