Leanne Purdum , a PhD student in the Geography Department, will discuss her immigration law research with a focus on citizenship and human rights. She will discuss her research trip to Argentina during July of 2014, when she learned about migration as a human right through the Argentina National Migration Act. Her developing dissertation will focus on the processing of unaccompanied children along the U.S.-Mexico border, and her talk will explain how her time in Argentina has shaped her thinking about current policy in the U.S.
